Vote for YOU and your healthy weight

The UK has recently woken up to a new government.
I don’t talk about politics in my work, but I do think there are some important parallels with my work.
Firstly – placing your vote.
It’s all too easy to keep putting off taking action when it comes to our health and wellbeing and managing our weight.
As James Clear famously says… every action we take is a vote for the person we wish to become.
But if we don’t take action and vote for the future selves we want to be we can’t then complain about what happens…
Another important parallel is change.
The country has decided that it wants transformational change.
But it’s going to take a long time for any changes that are implemented to take effect.
Things have to be done differently, consistently, and it will take time for everyone involved to learn the ropes, and the real results won’t be seen for a long time.
Just like going on a weight loss journey.
We decide we want transformational change.
But it won’t happen overnight.
It takes time, effort, patience, resilience, and learning how to do things differently.
As long as we are consistent with our efforts, and as long as what we do is following the right strategy to be effective, the results will follow.
But it all starts with that decision to change, followed by effective action, and each action being a vote for the person we wish to become.
The time is going to pass anyway so you may as well get started!
