REMEMBER YOU’RE A RIDER AI COACH
The Mindset AI Coach for New and Nervous Motorcycle Riders

In Partnership with Phoenix Motorcycle Training
Got a test tomorrow?
Replaying a mistake?
Worried you’ll drop the bike?
Now you can talk it through with the Remember You’re a Rider AI Mindset Coach.
Developed specifically for motorcycle riders, the coach helps you explore the thoughts, feelings and physical responses that may be affecting your confidence, learning and decisions.
Motorcycle nerves rarely appear at a convenient time
They can show up the evening before a lesson, while preparing for a test, after dropping your bike or when you are trying to persuade yourself to go for a ride.
You might know what you should do but still find yourself:
- Imagining everything that could go wrong
- Tensing up before you have even started the bike
- Replaying a mistake from your last lesson
- Worrying that you are progressing too slowly
- Avoiding certain roads, manoeuvres or riding situations
- Treating one difficult experience as proof that you cannot do it
The Rider Mindset AI Coach gives you somewhere to talk through what is happening and consider what may help next.
It is based on the principles in Remember You’re a Rider and Claire Jones’s motorcycle mindset coaching approach. You do not need to have read the book to use it.
Somewhere between reading the book and booking a call with Claire
Remember You’re a Rider explains how confidence, pressure, previous experiences, learning and your nervous system can affect you as a rider. It also includes exercises and practical strategies.
The AI Coach helps you explore how those ideas may apply to the situation you are facing. You can describe what happened, answer follow-up questions and consider possible next steps without waiting for a coaching appointment.
For some riders, that may be enough. Others may benefit from professional motorcycle training, 1:1 mindset coaching or support from an appropriate healthcare professional. The coach can help you consider when another type of support may be more suitable.
What can you talk to it about?
You can start with whatever is on your mind. For example:
- “My Mod 1 test is tomorrow and I feel sick every time I think about it.”
- “I made a mistake during my lesson and now I can’t stop replaying it.”
- “I dropped my bike in a car park and feel too embarrassed to ride it.”
- “I know how to ride, but I keep talking myself out of going.”
- “Everyone else seems to be progressing faster than me.”
- “My instructor has told me I’m ready, but I don’t believe them.”
- “I’m returning after a long break and don’t know where to begin.”
- “I’ve booked my first group ride and I’m worried I’ll hold everyone up.”
- “I want to ride abroad, but riding on the other side of the road feels overwhelming.”
- “I don’t know whether I need more training or whether my nerves are getting in the way.”
You do not need to use coaching language or work out the perfect question. Describe the situation as you would explain it to another rider.
When you open the coach, you can also choose one of these starting points:
- Ask me questions about my riding and mindset to help gauge my current situation
- Help me explore and develop my current mindset
- Help me focus on developing a specific riding skill
- Who can I contact for riding or mindset support?
The coach does not teach the technical skill itself. It can help you explore the mindset affecting your learning and identify points to discuss or practise with a qualified instructor.
What will the coach help you do?
Depending on the situation, it may help you:
- Separate what happened from what you are predicting will happen next
- Understand why your body is reacting before a lesson, test or ride
- Notice when one mistake has turned into a much bigger judgement about your ability
- Identify what is within your control
- Prepare mentally for a lesson, test, road or riding challenge
- Work through an exercise from Remember You’re a Rider
- Decide on a manageable next step
- Recognise when further training or human support would be useful
It will ask questions, help you examine the situation and suggest practical actions based on Claire’s established approach.
How to get started
- Log in or create an account following one of the links in the ‘how to sign up’ section below
- Choose one of the suggested starting points or type your own question.
- Describe what is happening in your own words.
- Press the blue arrow to send your message.
- Read the response and answer any follow-up questions.
- Continue the conversation at your own pace.
You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable sharing. A useful starting message could include:
- What happened or what you are preparing for
- What thoughts or feelings are coming up
- How this is affecting your riding
- What you have already tried
- What you would like help with
For example:
“I dropped my bike recently and now I feel nervous every time I stop. I have practised with an instructor, but I tense up before every stop. Can you help me work through what is happening?”

Your Privacy and How Conversations are Reviewed
Your conversation is not visible to other customers, and is only visible to Claire and the developer, for monitoring and safety purposes. It is treated with strict confidence.
Claire has the facility to read and review all messages entered into the coach and the responses it provides. She will carry out occasional spot checks to help ensure that the coach is responding safely, appropriately and as intended.
Messages are not monitored continuously, and using the coach is not the same as communicating directly with Claire. If you need Claire’s personal support, please contact her separately on claire@youronelife.co.uk and she will advise you of your options.
Only share information you are comfortable entering into the system. Avoid including names, addresses, contact details or other unnecessary identifying information.
Please read the Privacy Notice for full information about who can access your data and how it is used, stored, protected and deleted.
Important Safety Information
Only use the coach when you are safely parked and no longer responsible for controlling a motorcycle. Do not use it while riding, stopped at traffic lights or when you need to concentrate on the road or your immediate surroundings.
The coach supports mindset, confidence and reflection. It does not:
- Teach technical riding skills (unless you are using the Phoenix training version)
- Assess your riding competence or fitness to ride
- Replace professional motorcycle training
- Provide real-time riding or emergency instructions
- Diagnose or treat a physical or mental-health condition
- Replace medical, psychological or therapeutic support
AI can occasionally misunderstand what you mean or provide an incomplete, incorrect or unsuitable response. Use your own judgement. Do not act on a suggestion that feels unsafe, inappropriate or outside the coach’s stated role, and flag to Claire any concerns.
Riding a motorcycle involves inherent risk. You remain responsible for your decisions, actions and safety, including deciding whether you are physically and mentally fit to ride. Follow road traffic laws, manufacturer guidance and safety recommendations, and seek appropriate training from a suitably qualified motorcycle instructor.
Report an unsuitable response by emailing claire@youronelife.co.uk
Why use this instead of a general AI tool?
The Rider Mindset AI Coach has one defined role: supporting motorcycle riders with the thoughts, emotions and physical responses that can affect learning, confidence and decision-making.
Its responses draw on:
- The concepts and exercises within Remember You’re a Rider
- Claire’s motorcycle mindset coaching approach
- Relevant principles from psychology, coaching, learning and human factors
- Claire’s lived experience of learning to ride, managing nerves and continuing to develop as a rider
- Clear boundaries about when professional motorcycle training or other support is needed
This provides a more consistent, rider-specific accurate conversation than a general chatbot. It will not pretend to replace an instructor or tell you that mindset work can compensate for missing riding skills.
Part of a wider rider-support pathway
Different riders need different types and levels of support.
You may choose to:
Read the book → Use the AI Coach → Access human or specialist support when needed
The AI Coach can be used alongside:
- Professional motorcycle training
- 1:1 motorcycle mindset coaching
- Structured online learning
- Rider-development workshops
- Appropriate medical or mental-health support
If your concern relates to riding technique, motorcycle control or roadcraft, speak to a suitably qualified motorcycle instructor.

Created by Claire Jones
Claire Jones is the author of the Amazon number-one motorcycle-reference bestseller Remember You’re a Rider: The Mindset Guide for New and Nervous Motorcycle Riders.
Claire, already a mindset coach, started learning to ride at age 50 and experienced many of the nerves, doubts and setbacks that riders now discuss with her. Her work helps riders understand why they can have the practical skills but still lose confidence after a mistake or drop, feel overwhelmed during training, doubt positive instructor feedback or avoid situations they may be capable of handling.
The Rider Mindset AI Coach makes this approach available to riders who want help applying it to their own situation but may not need, or be ready for, 1:1 coaching.
Frequently Asked Questions
Am I talking directly to Claire?
No. You are communicating with an AI coach. Its replies are generated by AI rather than written by Claire, but the tool has been programmed to respond in her coaching style.
Claire has the facility to review all inputs and responses and will carry out occasional spot checks for safety, appropriateness and quality. She does not monitor conversations continuously or personally reply through the coach.
Do I need to have read the book?
The coach can be used on its own but it may direct you to parts of the book as appropriate so it can be useful to have access to a copy to read in more depth. If you have read Remember You’re a Rider, it can also help you revisit and apply relevant ideas and exercises. You can purchase it here
Will it teach me how to ride?
No. It may help you prepare for training, reflect on a lesson or identify questions to discuss with your instructor, but it does not teach or assess practical riding skills.
Does it replace 1:1 coaching?
Some riders may get what they currently need from the AI coach. Human coaching may be more suitable when you need deeper exploration, personal judgement, greater accountability or ongoing individual support. It can also be a great resource for after 1:1 coaching has finished, to continue to apply the mindset skills you have learned while working with Claire.
A new Facebook community will be developed for all those who are using the AI coach, led by Claire, to provide an extra layer of support.
What happens if it gives an unsuitable response?
If you have any doubt at all about the safety of a response, do not act on a response simply because the coach produced it. Stop the conversation if necessary and email claire@youronelife.co.uk with your concerns. Check technical riding questions with a qualified instructor and contact an appropriate healthcare professional about physical or mental-health concerns.
Can I contact Claire through the coach?
No. Messages are not monitored continuously and should not be used to contact Claire. Book a discovery call to discuss your options if you would like personal support from her.
If you need mental-health or emergency support
The coach is not a healthcare, crisis-monitoring or emergency service.
If anxiety is persistent, worsening, causing significant distress or affecting your wider life, contact your GP, a counsellor or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional. You can also ask your GP about NHS Talking Therapies or check whether you can refer yourself locally.
If you need more immediate help:
- Urgent mental-health support: Call NHS 111 and select the mental-health option.
- Someone to talk to: Call Samaritans free on 116 123, at any time. You do not need to be suicidal to contact them.
- Immediate danger: Call 999 or go to A&E if you or someone else is in immediate danger.
These are human support services. Do not use the Rider Mindset AI Coach in place of urgent mental-health care or emergency help.
What is happening for you right now?
Your test may be approaching. You may be rebuilding after a drop, preparing to ride alone or trying to stop one difficult lesson from undoing your confidence.
Describe what is happening and start working through it.

AI-powered motorcycle mindset support based on Claire Jones’s published work and coaching approach. It complements professional motorcycle instruction, human coaching and appropriate healthcare support. It does not replace them.
This support is for riders only. A separate resource will be developed to support instructors.
The Ethics of Using an AI Coach
Is the AI Coach safe and ethical to use?
The Rider Mindset AI Coach has been developed by Smart Training Solutions, a reputable organisation in the education field, with safeguards, clear boundaries and transparency about what it can and cannot do.
No AI service can guarantee that every response will be correct or suitable for every situation. You remain responsible for decisions about your riding, training, safety and health.
You will always be told that you are communicating with AI rather than Claire personally.
The coach:
- Clearly identifies itself as an AI service
- Uses the concepts within Remember You’re a Rider and Claire’s established coaching approach
- Helps you examine a situation and consider your options
- Does not make decisions for you
- Does not diagnose physical or mental-health conditions
- Does not provide medical advice
- Does not teach technical riding skills
- Does not assess whether you are competent or safe to ride
- Directs technical riding questions to a suitably qualified motorcycle instructor
- Signposts to 1:1 coaching, professional training, healthcare or emergency support when appropriate
- Has been tested with riders and will continue to be reviewed and improved
Is AI coaching already being used elsewhere?
AI-supported coaching is becoming more widely used to give people timely access to reflection, guidance and support between human coaching sessions or when individual coaching is not needed.
As its use grows, professional bodies are paying increasing attention to how these services are designed, tested and managed.
What does professional guidance say?
The International Coaching Federation has published an Artificial Intelligence Coaching Framework and Standards setting out appropriate safeguards for AI coaching.
These include:
- Being clear when someone is interacting with AI
- Obtaining informed consent
- Protecting privacy and personal information
- Recognising and reducing bias
- Testing and monitoring the system
- Maintaining clear professional boundaries
- Explaining the limitations of AI-generated responses
- Providing access to human or specialist support when needed
The Rider Mindset AI Coach has been designed with reference to this guidance. It has not been assessed, accredited or endorsed by the ICF.
