Four Hours of Personalised Coaching and Support
Struggling with riding nerves, lack of confidence, overthinking, fear of making mistakes, test anxiety, or getting back on the bike after a setback?
You’re not alone.
Many riders assume their problem is simply a lack of skill. Often there’s more to it than that.
You may have completed training, passed your test, or even have years of riding experience, yet still find yourself avoiding certain roads, second-guessing yourself, worrying about what might happen, or feeling frustrated that your confidence doesn’t match your ability.
This coaching programme is designed to help you understand what’s happening in your mind and nervous system so you can get the best from the skills you already have.
What We’ll Work On
Every rider is different, but common topics include:
• CBT, Module 1 and Module 2 test nerves
• Fear of dropping the bike
• Riding anxiety and lack of confidence
• Returning to riding after a break
• Confidence after an accident, near miss or difficult experience
• Fear of riding alone
• Slow-speed manoeuvres and other situations that make you feel uncomfortable or vulnerable
• Roundabouts, junctions, motorways, filtering and other challenging road environments
• Overthinking, second-guessing yourself and replaying mistakes
• Feeling overwhelmed by information, advice or pressure from others
• Comparing yourself to other riders
• The impact of life changes on your riding confidence, such as work stress, relationship breakdown, bereavement, menopause, becoming a parent, caring responsibilities, retirement, or a recent ADHD or autism diagnosis
• Rebuilding confidence when life feels different from how it used to
• Building trust in yourself as a rider
• Learning how to stay calmer and think more clearly under pressure
• Enjoying motorcycling more and worrying less
How the Programme Works
Session One – 60 Minutes
Our first session is a deep dive into your situation.
We’ll explore:
• Your riding history and experience
• What’s currently holding you back
• The situations that trigger anxiety or self-doubt
• Previous experiences that may still be affecting your confidence
• Your goals and what you want riding to look like in the future
Together we’ll identify the key issues and create a personalised action plan.
Six Follow-Up Sessions – 30 Minutes Each
The remaining three hours are delivered as six 30-minute coaching sessions.
These are usually scheduled every one to two weeks to allow time for riding practice, training and real-world experience between sessions, although timings can be adapted to suit your needs.
During these sessions we’ll:
• Review your progress
• Troubleshoot any challenges that arise
• Help you make sense of your riding experiences
• Refine your confidence-building strategies
• Develop practical tools for managing nerves and pressure
• Build evidence of your capability through structured progress
• Support you alongside any rider training you may be undertaking
Wraparound Support
You’ll also have support between sessions, so you’re not left trying to figure things out on your own.
This means you can ask questions, share progress, discuss challenges and receive guidance as you put your learning into practice.
Important Information
I am not a motorcycle instructor and I do not teach riding skills.
I work alongside instructors and trainers, helping riders understand and address the psychological aspects of confidence, performance and enjoyment.
Where additional rider training would be beneficial, I will always encourage it as part of your development.
Investment
£400
Includes:
• One 60-minute coaching session
• Six 30-minute coaching sessions
• A personalised action plan tailored to your goals and challenges
• Wraparound support between sessions
• Practical tools and exercises to help you build confidence between appointments
• Where appropriate, a personalised hypnotherapy session delivered live or as a recording for you to keep and use as often as you wish
Because every rider’s situation is different, the exact approach will be tailored to your needs. Some riders benefit most from coaching and practical confidence-building strategies, while others find that hypnotherapy helps reinforce the changes we’re working on together.
Many people find that 4 hours is enough, but if you need more, repeat packages or one-off sessions can be purchased.
