Don’t find it easy to lose weight? It’s ok… there’s a good reason, and once you know what it is, you will find it easier…

By Claire JonesIt’s ok that you don’t find it easy to lose weight, or don’t know what to do at the moment…so I want you to stop beating yourself up, right now.
WHY?
One of the biggest myths around weight loss that I come across in my work is that weight loss is easy, or that we know what to do…or at least what we ‘should’ do.
Not only that, there is so much information out there, often with conflicting messages, and it’s overwhelming!
And even if we really do manage to figure out what to do, applying that knowledge consistently is often really tricky because we also need a particular set of skills to stay on track while managing life’s inevitable ups and downs.
- Life gets in the way
- It’s so easy to get knocked off course, then you feel like you’ve failed so you may as well eat what you like tonight or all weekend and start again on Monday.
- It’s so frustrating when you lose weight and it just creeps back on.
- You wonder if it’s even worth trying.
- You hate that you end up undoing all your hard work.
- You doubt your own abilities and don’t feel in control.
You are not alone in feeling this way. Far from it.
Yet you’re obviously keen to see a difference in your life. Something brought you here today… for a reason.
If that sounds like you, I promise you that (any health concerns aside) there’s nothing wrong with you.
The fact is, losing weight and keeping it off is one of the hardest things in life to do, because we are not designed to do it voluntarily, so when we try in the traditional ways, we go into conflict with our bodies’ very strong survival mechanisms.
We naturally want to lose weight fast, but unfortunately for many of us this simply isn’t realistic because of this conflict, especially if we are leading busy, stressful lives.
There are a lot of problems with this conflict… not least that when you think you know what to do and you’re not doing it, you’re going to be beating yourself up, and/or you’re going to be feeling guilty, and that’s a really miserable way to live.
Or if you’re doing what you think you should be doing and it’s not working, you may think there must be something wrong with you. And that’s also pretty miserable.
And so you can end up getting even more frustrated and lacking in hope that things will ever change, so you end up thinking
‘what’s the point in all this effort if I am not getting results‘
and so you end up going back to what you did before, and the weight goes back on… again. 😫
So please, please stop berating yourself. Take the pressure off yourself, and give yourself a little compassion. It’s absolutely no wonder you’ve been finding it so hard.
THE GOOD NEWS!
Although there will be some pieces missing in your knowledge and/or skills to manage this conflict at the moment,
you CAN do something about it 😊
I know because I’ve been there myself and once I found out what was missing I was able to get those long-term results.

Since then, I help others with my new and different approach, that fills in those missing pieces, and develops those skills, so that when you apply what you learn, it makes it much easier for you to stay on track both for the short term and the long term.
There’s some vital upfront work to be done, before you can truly succeed – otherwise you’ll continue to self-sabotage and repeat the same painful cycle over and over again.
I can help you break the cycle, just like I have helped others.

ABOUT ME
I’m Claire Jones, a former yo-yo dieter of 25 years, but a decade ago I managed to break free from the yo-yo diet cycle.
I passionately believe that everybody deserves to live their life to the full, and not be constrained by preventable health problems due to being overweight. I also believe that the world we live in makes it harder than ever to do this.
So I am on a mission to help long-term yo-yo dieters like you go from feeling helpless and in constant conflict between their food choices and their weight management goals, to feeling confident in navigating this modern, challenging, high-calorie world, so they can be healthy, happy and free from the shackles of the yo-yo dieting cycle.
I was able to do it, and now I can help you too, just like I have helped so many others.
